1.4 Lakh FASTag Annual Passes Activated on Day One
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) launched its new FASTag Annual Pass for private vehicles on August 15. The pass, priced at ₹3,000, provides toll-free travel for one year or up to 200 toll crossings on national highways and expressways.
Record-Breaking Response
On the first day, nearly 1.4 lakh users purchased and activated the Annual Pass. Around 1.39 lakh toll transactions were recorded, showing strong initial adoption.
Smooth Rollout and Support
The pass was made available at more than 1,100 toll plazas across the country. NHAI deployed nodal officers at booths and strengthened the 1033 helpline to ensure smooth rollout and assist commuters.
Convenience and Usage Benefits
The pass can be activated within two hours of purchase through the RajmargYatra app or the NHAI website. Users receive SMS confirmations showing zero toll deduction at eligible plazas, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience without the need for repeated FASTag recharges.
